The Workforce Investment Act (WIA) helps adults and youth get the skills they need to get a good job. WIA can offer you training and support services to help you learn new job skills or start new careers.

As part of this plan, WIA may pay for your school tuition, childcare, books, and supplies. After you graduate, we will work closely with you to help you find the job you want.

   
 

Short Term Training/Scholarship Opportunities

 

The One-Stop Employment Division provides access to area training programs. If you meet the eligibility requirements, a portion of your training costs could be funded. Financial assistance information and school referral services are also available. To find out more information regarding our training opportunities, please visit a Next Step to Success workshop at your nearest One-Stop Employment Center location. Call for information on dates and times.

If you are looking for training that can quickly prepare you for good-paying job opportunities, There are some short-term training programs available in our area that you may complete in six months or less.

To apply for training, please bring your drivers’ license and social security card to one of our Next Step to Success workshops. Staff will be on hand to assist you with the application process.

Registering with the One-Stop Employment Center’s web site will enable you to get referrals to all of our job listings. There will never be a charge for the services we offer. We promise to keep your name and all personal information confidential.
