Making 2005 Your Best Year Ever

“One day Alice came to a fork in the road and saw a Cheshire cat in a tree. Which road do I take? She asked. “Where do you want to go?” was his response. I don’t know, Alice answered. Then, said the cat, it doesn’t matter.”
Lewis Carroll

I look at this quote from Alice in Wonderland and find it more and more on point. If you don’t know where you are going, any road will take you there. If you want to succeed in getting to a specific place, you must have a plan.

  • Set Goals
  • Choose To Turn Your Dreams into Targets
  • Write down all your goals in specific, measurable detail with
  • Declared target dates.

Without clear milestones and guideposts leading in the direction of your goals, you will spend a good portion of the year lost, backtracking and running in circles. Does “one step forward and two steps back” sound familiar?!

The first meaningful step you can take in the direction of your dreams is to create s short action PLAN for each of your 2005 GOALS. There is no better use of your time than to look at the goals you have written, and create an action plan for reaching them.

If you are not good at planning, your goals will remain out of reach and out of touch. This, unfortunately, is another truth for which there is no exception.
